Winter Party

Celebrate the season with us at our Annual Winter Holiday Party! Restek employees and spouses/partners will enjoy an evening of laughter, music, and festive cheer as we toast to a year of hard work. Warm food, spirited drinks, holiday décor, and good company — all in one magical night to remember. Dress up, unwind, dance, and let’s celebrate the closing of one successful year while looking forward to another fruitful year ahead. This event takes place at the beginning of January each year.

Spring Egg Hunt

Hop on over and join us for a fun-filled family day! Bring your kids, spouses/partners, and your baskets—because it’s time for Restek’s Annual Spring Egg Hunt.

We’ll have eggs hidden just for the kids—easy ones for the little ones, tougher hiding spots for the big kids—plus fun snacks, lawn games, and plenty of giggles in the spring air. Children will be divided into appropriate age groups for their egg search. If they find the golden egg, they’ll win the impressive grand prize basket for their age group. Light snack foods and crafts are also provided for all attending.

Let the hunt begin, enjoy some treats, and make some memories together!

Summer Party

Bring your sense of adventure! Each year we travel somewhere fun for all ages. Some years you have to pack your sunscreen and swimwear, while other years you have to make sure you have your walking shoes. We try to vary the event from year-to-year at places such as the Pittsburgh Zoo, Knoebels, DelGrosso's Park, State College Spikes, etc.

Wasson Pumpkin Patch

Restek will provide tickets for employees and dependent children to attend the annual pumpkin patch events. Other family members are welcome but will purchase their own ticket(s).

There will be farm animals, food vendors, barrel train rides, a corn maze, a straw tunnel, ice cream, games, etc. Hayrides to and from the pumpkin patch leave every few minutes. Select a pumpkin for each ticket that you have and take them home to decorate for fall.

Pro tip: Make sure to bring bags or something to help carry your pumpkins back!

Oktoberfest

Join us in the loft at Axemann Brewery for the annual Restek Oktoberfest. An amazing traditional dinner of German foods, stein-holding contest, awards for best dressed, games like pretzel toss and other fun events are all provided. Wear your lederhosen and dirndl because you could win the best dressed award!

Chili Cookoff

A fiery culinary showdown where coworkers battle it out, bowl by bowl, to crown the ultimate chili champion. Whether you cook, taste, or cheer on your favorite entrant from your department — there’s something for everyone.

It all started as a twisted dream, thought up by the late Joe Walsh, on a bus ride to the 1991 Pittcon Conference in Chicago and ended as a gastro-intestinal nightmare the following week. We would love to get some new Chili makers involved (and welcome back some of our reigning champions) in this 30+ year Restek tradition! Here is your chance to showcase your Chili cooking skills…and WIN A PRIZE!


Judging is based on a 10-point scale for Appearance, Consistency, Taste, and Aftertaste. Judges’ names are withheld in order to avoid tampering! Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 contestants & names inscribed on the plaque in the Atrium!

Breakfast with Santa

Kick off your holiday season with a festive family breakfast in the Millhouse. This is event is usually held in early December before there are too many holiday obligations. A hot, home cooked breakfast will be served, Santa will be there for pictures with the kids, and each child will get a gift from Santa (provided by the employees/parents ahead of time). Each child will also leave with a goodie craft bag from Restek.
